SERVICE 01

Osteopathic Treatment

  • Hands-on
  • One-to-one

Osteopathy is a manual therapy that takes a holistic approach to rehab. It isn’t about treating the symptoms, it’s about getting to the underlying cause. This service is best if your injury is pretty recent. It will still include a professional assessment, alongside treatment.

Treatments usually include:

  • Spinal manipulation
  • Deep tissue massage
  • Joint mobilisation
  • Medical dry needling, in some cases

SERVICE 02

Full Body Biomechanical Assessment

  • Around 2 hours
  • 6-week program
  • 2 online reviews

This is the most in-depth movement assessment there is. It takes a deep dive into your mobility, stability and coordination. If you have been dealing with a long-standing issue, or you just want to maximise your training performance, this is the option for you. The assessment takes around 2 hours, and leaves absolutely no stone unturned.

You will also receive:

  • A 6-week training program with exercises to address the limitations identified
  • Two 30-minute online sessions with Darran to review your movement

How it works

Identify. Rectify. Amplify.

Whichever route you decide, the overall structure remains the same — the assessment just dives deeper.

1

Identify

Find out the exact cause so we can fix it at the source.

2

Rectify

Whether it is through hands-on treatment or targeted exercises, we reduce symptoms and get you out of pain.

3

Amplify

Now the pain is gone, we ensure it doesn’t come back by rebuilding you to a higher standard than pre-injury.

Your osteopath

Darran McKeown

Darran is a fully registered osteopath and a human optimisation specialist. He has been rehabbing people for over a decade, and has trained with some of the world’s leading movement and rehab experts. He prides himself on the ability to get results where others fail.

Working with Darran goes far beyond a simple massage and back crack. Most therapists just treat where the pain is — Darran finds out why it is occurring in the first place. You will gain a clear understanding of what is causing the pain, and an actionable plan on how to fix it.

As a former world record holding powerlifter and a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu purple belt, Darran is no stranger to pushing his body to the limits. He understands that injury isn’t just about getting you out of pain. It’s about getting you back doing the things that make you, you.

Before you book

Common questions

What happens in an osteopathy appointment?

A full case history first — what the problem is, how it started, your work, training and general health. Then a physical assessment of how you move. Treatment is hands-on, and you finish with an explanation of what was found and what to do between visits.

How is the biomechanical assessment different?

It is two hours and covers the whole body rather than the painful area. The goal is to map every movement deficiency you have, not just treat today’s symptom. You leave with a six-week movement plan written specifically to close the gaps it finds.

Which one should I book?

If something hurts right now and you want it looked at, book osteopathic treatment. If the same problem keeps coming back, or you have plateaued and want to know why, book the full body assessment. If you are unsure, get in touch and we will point you to the right one.

Do I need a referral from my GP?

No. Osteopaths are primary healthcare practitioners in the UK, so you can book directly without a referral.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing you can move in — shorts and a t-shirt are ideal. Being able to see the area move makes the assessment far more useful.
